Getting your gut right

Gut health is a major player in acne. Our gut lining is similar to jazz hands or spirit fingers (think 'Bring It On'). These tiny dancing fingers, named microvilli, line our guts, help make enzymes and assist in the absorption of nutrients from food.


If our guts are inflamed these fingers become stunted and work less effectively because there is less surface area. This means we stop absorbing nutrients effectively and we don't produce as many enzymes to break down our foods.

So how do we fix our gut health?
